Open Cast has been supporting Ghanaian charity The Bridge Foundation for some time - and our latest fundraising event is the fashion show on 28 August.
The Bridge Foundation (TBF) was founded in 1996 by Mr. Ray Quarcoo, acclaimed philanthropist and sports enthusiast. It is a Ghanaian registered charity based in the nation’s capital, Accra. Dedicated to the cause of improving the social and economic well being of deprived and needy communities and individuals.
Their mission is to support and enhance a broader socio-economic capacity for underprivileged communities with focus on the youth, while at the same time building bridges of cooperation, friendship and understanding on a global scale through sports and socio-cultural creativity.
The Foundation has established a Youth Resource Centre consisting of a boxing gym, table tennis, IT training/library unit and an accommodation unit for volunteers. The unit consists of three bedrooms, bathroom/lavatory facilities and a kitchenette.
Open Cast’s donations have been put to good use during the development of the centre and our continued fundraising will provide much needed resources for the young people that attend.
Well done everyone!
