Open Cast began back in 1999 as a drama group. The need to address the issues facing young people outside mainstream education, employment and training soon became apparent and in response Open Cast developed into a full time support and training service.
We were incorporated in 2002 and became a Community Interest Company in 2006
As the name C.I.C. suggests we are a 'not for profit' group working solely for the benefit of the community
True to our roots we work in creative and imaginative ways to engage young people and bring subjects to life for them.
